Having trouble getting Deluge to run/start on boot

I've been following the guide here to try and install Deluge on my Raspberry Pi.

I haven't used the additional repo listed at the top of the guide.

I seem to be getting along fine until I get to the Make Deluge Web UI Auto Connect to Deluge Daemon section. 

I start the deluged service then stop it.

At the part where the guide says Find the line

"default_daemon": "";

I'm not seeing any content in the file I see when after I've entered the command

sudo nano /var/lib/deluge/.config/deluge/web.conf

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Does the guide just not work on the Raspberry Pi?

Check User Permissions: Make sure you are using the correct user account when trying to access and modify the web.conf file. The user account you use should have the necessary permissions to read and write to the file. You may need to use sudo or switch to the appropriate user account to edit the file successfully. pge outage map
