Hi. I'm Pete, an Australian living in Japan. Looking around the web, this looks like a really good site with lots of helpful guides and people with patience for us noobies !!!
I have had my RPi 1 B+ for about a year, and it worked really well until I attached a USB HDD and then after about 3 months I had SD card trouble. I hope I can ask questions about that, and about working with USB HDD - and dreaded swapfile and swap partition issues !!!!!
Anyway, I'm also a Windows and OSX user, and over the last months using the RPi has given me a great introduction to Linux. But - I look forward to getting some hand-holding and then also being able to help out others from whatever experience I gain.
Here in Japan the RPi is not well known. My friends here are amazed when they see it.
