@Manne you can have Sonarr and CouchPotato connect to Kodi, so that they tell Kodi to start an update after a file is downloaded.
If you want your library to clean up the moment you delete your files, then it's best to use a plugin but you can have Sonarr also tell Kodi to clean up the library after an update.

In Sonarr you go to settings and there Connect. When you click the plus you get a whole list of services and there you select Kodi and you have a whole list of options with what to do when it's downloaded.
In CouchPotato you go to notifications and select Kodi. Here you best enable "Show advanced" if you want some extra options.
For me personally, this is better than Watchdog. But of course everybody has their own preferences.

Well while I was using Kodi on Windows, Watchdog worked perfect for me.
But when I started with my Raspberry Pi I had some problems, Kodi started to run slow and my hard drive wouldn't spin down.
That's actually why I prefer Sonarr and CP together with XBMC Auto Updater because I had some problems with it but if it works perfectly for you.

Yes, if Kodi start running slower Watchdog would be a good first to disable when you start troubleshooting.
