Hi,
I'm pretty much a complete newbie with only very, very basic UNIX/Linux skills. I'm wanting to use a PCTV 292e Triplestick with TVHeadend on Minibian running on a Raspberry Pi 3B. I've been following along with your excellent guides to build Minibian in the first place, and now install the 292e drivers and TVHeadend. Everything was going great to almost the last step, then I ran into a problem under the section entitled "Install Tvheadend on Raspberry Pi". The first two commands seemed to work ok (the lines beginning wget -O and echo deb). When I executed the 3rd line, sudo apt-get update, I get about 10 lines that seem to indicate success, followed by:
W: Failed to fetch http://apt.tvheadend.org/stable/dists/wheezy/InRelease Unable to find expected entry 'main/binary-armhf/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed files)
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
Not surprisingly, when I then try to install TVHeadend, after reading the package lists, building dependency tree and reading state information I get:
E: Unable to locate package tvheadend
Since I'm using the Jessie build of Minibian, I tried swapping wheezy for jessie but ultimately get the same problem.
I'd be grateful for any advice. I guess it's maybe a path or filename that's been changed since the guide was produced, but I have no idea how to determine what it should be. I've attached a photo of the CLI showing the commands entered and output received.
Thanks,
Brian Faichney.

It looks like they moved it.
Take a look over here
Code:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 379CE192D401AB61
echo "deb https://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb jessie stable" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install tvheadend
Think you should give that a try.

Thanks Yveske. I've tried the code you suggested, but am still getting essentially the same error when I run the sudo apt-get update:
Failed to fetch https://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb/dis...ie/Release Unable to find expected entry 'stable/binary-armhf/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list or malformed file)
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Brian.

Ok, add the repo manually.
Open sources.list:
Code:
nano /etc/apt/sources.list
And paste:
Code:
deb http://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb jessie release
And then run apt-get update again. If it doesn't work don't forget to remove it again from the sources.list.

Thanks. Got it installed, though it doesn't seem to be working in that although tvheadend sees my dvbt adapter it doesn't appear to be finding any muxes etc. . But that's for another day and a new forum topic. Thanks again.

No problem. I don't know tvheadend it self so I won't be able to help you with that but @Mike is the one who makes those guides and the big problem solver on the forum so hopefully he can help you out. But yes, best in a new topic.

I updated both the guide and the installer so thank to you both
I will look out for a new thread if you are still having trouble with tvheadend finding the channels. I do only have experience with getting it to work in Europe but I'll do what I can.

Hi Mike. My sources entry is:
deb http://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb/ jessie release
and I am getting the following when I try to update my RPi3:
W: Failed to fetch http://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb/dist...f/Packages 403 Forbidden [IP: 159.122.18.156 80]
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I have TvHeadend installed and its been working for months. Can you suggest anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Paul

Hmm that's weird, last time I tested it worked. I think you may need to get in touch with the tvheadend package maintainers so they can take a look on their end.

Make sure you have entered the correct among us repository URL in your sources.list file. Verify that the URL matches the official repository for TVHeadend. You can visit the TVHeadend website or community forums to find the correct repository URL for your specific version of Minibian.
