Hi guys. So I followed the guide to set up nginx with Let's Encrypt a while ago and everything went smoothly. However, for reasons explained in my other thread I wiped everything and started fresh with the Banana Pi Pro installer image. I started following the nginx/Let's Encrypt guide again, but I ran into errors after requesting the certificate with Certbot:
After inputting my email and password (which was the same as the first time I installed all of this), I got this error message:
here's the output/error message: Well crap; I ran that command two different times throughout the day and got the same error output. But running it now only gives me this "mktemp: too few X's in template ‘le’" message instead of the original error output. And of course I can't remember all it said because I didn't understand it. It mentioned something about my address not being authorized (or something like that). Crap.
But anyway, I believe the problem may be that when I entered my email and password this second time around. Maybe it had a conflict with my original account creation, kind of like when you try to create a new user account on a website but it tells you that email already is associated with another account? Does this sound possible, or did I probably screw something else up unknowingly?
Any help is appreciated.
Code:
./certbot-auto certonly -a webroot --webroot-path=/var/www/html -d mydynamicaddress.com
