Hello
I'm running a 16.04 ubuntu VM, all my download tools are running under downloads:downloads. I tried to follow the tutorial exactly so I also used vpn as username.
Everything works until I tried to check the IP's of the two users. curl ipinfo.io wont echo anything but "curl ipecho.net/plain ; echo" gives out an ip which doesnt fit the ip fetching the info from my pc. Trying to get the IP from the vpn also doesnt echo anything.
/etc/init/openvpn.conf: https://pastebin.com/ta1x9saW
/etc/openvpn/openvpn.conf: https://pastebin.com/3zpJTkd1
/etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf: https://pastebin.com/NWZ8YxNV -> UsenetServer doesnt have any DNS?
/etc/openvpn/iptables.sh: https://pastebin.com/5uzYZCSx
/etc/sysctl.d/9999-vpn.conf: https://pastebin.com/F0LLgyF7
ip route list output:
0.0.0.0/1 via 172.21.94.1 dev tun0
default via 192.168.178.1 dev ens160 onlink
46.19.140.5 via 192.168.178.1 dev ens160

192.168.178.0/24 dev ens160 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.178.203
None of the above IP's are mine...
sudo -u downloads -i -- cat /etc/resolv.conf output:
# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN
nameserver 192.168.178.1
downloads@downloads:~$ sudo -u vpn -i -- cat /etc/resolv.conf
# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN
nameserver 192.168.178.1
192.168.178.1 is my local router
Any idea where to problem lies?
Thanks for any help!
