Hi,
Want to update my PMS to last release 0.9.12.8 but Method 1 of HTPC Guide give only the 0.9.12.4 (ugly repo).
Tried to update with method 3 (make your package), and it's worst, seems PMS service doesn't want to start (something may change in package?)
Tried a fresh install with method 3 => same..
When I run manually /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/start.sh here is my output : /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/libgnsdk_manager.so.3.07.7)
=> I have libc6-2.19 installed (followed tuto in transcoding tools of pms guide)
Thx for help.

I'm taking a bit of a guess but see if there's a package glibc and try install that, if not try find and install libc6-2.15

There is no package glibc.. and I've already installed last version of libc6 on debian ftp
Tried a fresh install with method 1 and uglymagoo repo => it works but it's not the latest version (not compatible with ios app)

Quoted from Plex forums
Uglymagoo"
Pushed 0.9.12.8 to the Jessie repo. I am not going to update the Wheezy repo anymore, because of the new libc 2.15 dependency (libm was easier to fix). Wheezy installations with libc 2.19 should be able to use the Jessie package. But I highly recommend to update to Jessie instead of tinkering with the libc packages."
So I am guessing your running Wheezy. Try change the source list for uglys repo to Jessie just to download the update and it should work.

Thanks!
and that's true! but just an upgrade is not enough, we have to upgrade all the distrib to jessie and uninstall PMS before (reinstall after upgrade).
here a great tuto : http://linuxconfig.org/how-to-upgrade-de...le-release

It is possible to install libc6 2.19 on Wheezy, I am working on this now to see if there are any issues and will update the guide today or tomorrow.

Hi Mike,
Just follow your new tuto and seems to work fine.
One question, when there will be an update Plex, which command will we have to do?
We are not at this point and it will generate some tests but I wonder
Thx for your work.

Great, when you need to update just do as the tutorial says
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade -y
This does require that uglymagoo has uploaded the new package first though.
You can use method 3 to build your own package if you want to use a pre-release but uglymagoo is generally quite fast at updating his repository

Ok thx.
I was thinking that we have to use this command (with jessie repo) even for upgrade
Code:
sudo apt-get install -t jessie plexmediaserver -y
