Hi!
(Hopefully this is the right forum section to post to)
I've recently purchased a T02 to be my HTPC + torrent server + VPN server.
It runs Windows 8.1 with Bing. It's a decent device, but I have connectivity issues, both WLAN, and LAN, because of Win 8.1.
Many people complained about Win 8.1 Wifi issues (Wifi connection goes to limited every 10-20 minutes), which is also present on my T02, so I guess I can forgot about WLAN connection (can't upgrade or downgrade drivers as i can't find any...also tried many workarounds, nothing worked).
So I was thinking about LAN. I have an USB 2.0 <-> LAN adapter laying around, but it can only support speed up to 6mbit/s (my home connection is 100/50 mbit/s).
My question is: are there any really fast, at least 6 MB/s speed USB 2.0 <-> LAN adapters, which can be fully powered by the T02 to use it efficiently?
I would like to have at least 6 MB/s LAN speed on the T02, or more, but I'm concerned about both the USB / LAN adapter speed, and the T02's power capabilities.
If you could suggest something about both issues, I would appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!

I have just received my T02 and plan to use the same USB to gigabit adapter linked to in my T01 review which works without external power on the older MeegoPad T01. I was able to transfer at 20 MB/s so it will more than cover your internet connection's bandwidth. If you start adding multiple external hard drives they will need external power so beware of that.
I have had no LAN connection issues with that adapter or the T01, it was super stable since I never turned it off or rebooted. I was running Windows 8.1 on it. I never used the WiFi because I could avoid it.
Does that answer your questions?

Thanks for your answer Mike, but I can't find the exact type of the adapter, the link in the guide points here: http://www.amazon.com/s/?field-keywords=...destext-20
Could you please link me the exact type?
Thanks in advance!

Since you're on Windows it shouldn't have a problem with any generic cheap adapter you find. Can you let me know if the MeegoPad T02 has any heating issues? The T01 had a few that I didn't notice for many months and the T02 is supposed to have fixed them.

No heating issues for me so far. It's running for a week now for me. Handled vnc+vlc+utorrent together so far without any problems, around 65 c degrees.

That is good, can you test streaming something using a Kodi add on or Netflix or your preferred method? That is what I noticed it after all these months, video went blocky and weird or sometimes just slightly laggy.

I can try (if i can use Netflix from Hungary...), but on lan atm I have a max of 6mbitps speed, and wifi isn't working properly (someone told me that it's maybe because BT is turned on and interfering)...
I will try something anyway and report back asap.

Thanks, I've actually seen now that the T03 and T04 have been released (the T04 isn't a stick though). Hoping your T02 streams without frying eggs
