It took a while before I could get to work again on this issue. Too much to do. But then the problem was resolved even before I postred my issue on the Sonarr forum.
As it turned out all I had to, was change the line in fstab from:
//192.168.1.2/tvseries /mnt/tvseries cifs username=xxxxx,password=xxxxx,workgroup=xxxxx 0 0
to:
//192.168.1.2/tvseries /mnt/tvseries cifs username=xxxxx,password=xxxxx,workgroup=xxxxx,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0
Mike wrote that this was a most likely a permissions problem and that I should change the owner in the fdstab file. I should have checked that comment more thouroughly. SABnzbd an Sonarr are runnig fine now, nicely dropping the downloaded files in the correct folder on the NAS.
The whole thing is very slow, but since it is running 24/7 that is not really a problem.
Thanks again for all the help!
BJ
Dude , tell me how you did it im going bananas trying to use mine o a raspberry pi 4
so far the netwrk drive is mounted but sonarr cant see it : technically it can if i type and it can see its content like series\nameseries\season # but i click add and then save invalith path and sonarr doesnt add the path as soon as i type the entire directory route
the actual permison of my fstab is root root
code:
what i did:
//192.168.x.x/media /mnt/Plexmedia cifs username=xxxxxx,password=xxxxxxx,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0
logs on sonarr are saying :
Invalid request Validation failed:
-- Path: Folder is not writable by user sonarr
