Edit Reason: Solved
)
I have two raspberry pi's. One runs transmission thru vpn and the other runs plex media server and shares a 2tb ntfs drive with movies and tv programs. Transmission downloaded to a shared folder on the hard drive. This worked well for ages til the first one crashed. I completely rebuilt it with the latest raspian, transmission thru the vpn but could only mount the shared download folder with NFS. Worked great for about 2 weeks then lost the share connection. Re install both with the latest version of software. Windows 10 can connect to both pi's as can laptop running antix. I have tried cifs and nfs, I cannot get pi 1 to connect to any shares on pi 2 or vice versa.
Any help would be appreciated. I have read that many manuals and tutorials but are no further ahead than when I started.
Solved it. Despite the two pi's having different ip addresses they default to being called raspberry pi. Change one name and it all works.
