Hey there!
I'm trying to get Muximux configured correctly on Ubuntu Server 16.04. I've got it running by following the steps outlined in a post from Sharkaccident. Thanks to Sharkaccident for posting their steps!
I also have all my services (SAB, Sonarr, Plex etc. etc) running on HTTP and reverse proxied through Nginx. Thanks HTPCGuides for the awesome write-ups! Everything works like a charm!
I've got a dynamic dns so I can access sites when away from home, from behind Nginx, again using the HTPCGuides. I think Muximux is a handy tool for the simple fact that I don’t have to type and retype all my web address directly — they’re all just collected there in Muximux, one-stop-shopping, so to speak.
Where I’m getting hung up at, is that Maximux needs to either run on HTTPS or Muxiumux needs to be served via plain ol’ HTTP. Like I mentioned, the way I’m setup now, nothing runs through HTTPS directly, it’s all through Nginx. So now I can’t access any of my services via Muximux. I monkeyed with their suggestion of disabling Xframe headers. That works sometimes, sometimes, not. It’s not an ideal solution. I would think putting all my services on HTTPS would start screwing with my Nginx reverse, so that’s probably a no-go, and a real PIA. I worked too hard to get everything setup on that front!
My question would be: where would I put Muximux so it serves via plain old HTTP, while keeping everything behind my proxy? Maybe that’s not even a possible setup?
Any suggestions? I’m a complete NOOB to Ubuntu, so I’m learning as I go!
Thanks in advance!
