Hi,
Thanks for the guides. Don't know why you guys do it, but really appreciate the time and effort.
I have looked at a lot of documentation and guides, but yours incorporates everything I think is necessary for safe torrenting.
Of course there are lots of information if you look, but often poorly described or dated/broken. Glad I found my way here.
Use Raspbian, and followed the Debian 8+Ubuntu 16.04 and the Deluge configuration guide for VPN split tunneling. Working without problems.
But wondered if it's possible to modify some of it to make it work without the split tunnel.
To have the whole system safely routed through OpenVPN.
Looking for:
- OpenVPN autostart
- DNS leak prevention
- Kill switch for when the VPN drops
- Remote access (I only really need local access, run a headless server)
Now - your guide has all that, but with a split VPN tunnel.
Wanted to try modifying the guide to my needs, but aren't that proficient on linux routing/iptables, and the "kill switch" rules are a bit over my level.
Plan is to incorporate it with a rtorrent/rutorrent setup I have. And also have some other services behind a safe VPN configuration.
(Edit: I know I can run services as the 'vpn' user to do this.)
I run Raspbian, and use PIA.
Thanks again.
Learning a lot.
