I have updated the installer today to make unrar and minidlna always install the latest version.
I also learned how to automatically grab the latest version for Jackett so that is part of the installer too.

I am playing with get_iplayer and have managed to get it installed and autostarted for debian and Ubuntu. I will PM you the guide if you are willing to give it a test for me.

I have worked out the headless setup and I am setting everything up wuite nicely, however I am a bit stuck on mounting my HDD. It used to be set up as an NTFS samba share and it has all my media on it so I dont want to have to re-partition and lose everything. Would I be right in using raspberry pi / raspian tutorials? Do they simply cross over to Banana Pi?

Yes you can use the properly mount hdd tutorial for the Banana Pi even though it's for the Raspberry Pi.
Generally the tutorials crossover unless Raspbian has packages that the official debian repo does not, which is rare.

So I got my HDD mounted by adding ntfs-3g and following this tutorial.
Now my next mission is to set up SAMBA share so my other computers can find it on the network.

Mounting with umask=007 is not a good idea. I'd suggest you follow my tutorial to avoid permission issues, change the umask to 0002.
This is the samba guide I use, beware samba can be finicky so you may have to reboot your devices.

Yes please... That was quick
I tried the script though. Generally excellent, very easy and intuitive.
On an Ubuntu 15.10 minimal install CD (with base "server" setup - Q: Can I just use "manual setup" and this script for a smaller VM?)
These installed perfectly:
Plex, Sickrage, Couchpotato, Mylar, Transmission, HTPCmanager
These had issues (using defaults)
- SABnzbd - installs fine but no interface at 8080 - it says Sabnzbd is running on: -------- blank!
- Jackett - says "Mono isn't installed, install Sonarr".. but Jackett supports Sickrage and others so I don't need Sonarr just Mono. Tweak needed? I didnt manually install Mono in case it has other related depends & so left it
- Headphones - installs fine but no interface at 8081 but a reinstall fixed. [2nd time it did same error - can't find /opt/headphones/config.ini and worked on a reinstall]
- Ubooquity - installs fine and tells me to drop out of root and execute command. I did but web interface at 2022 says "Sorry, you are not authorized to access any file on this server". Also I had to quit out. Has it installed a startup script or not? Or do I do that manually?
- CherryMusic - a little funky. I enter username and then it pops to port number saying 7600 is default but pre-populated with username?! Manually put 7600 & continued. Tells me it's installed and to go config the admin etc but no interface exists at http://192.168.0.13:7600 ? Went to http://www.htpcguides.com/install-cherry...l-spotify/ and followed manual guide and got it working -------->> python /opt/cherrymusic/cherrymusic --setup --port 7600 --->> doesn't autostart on reboot though and no idea how to fix since Ubuntu changed startup process.
- LEMP - this just didn't do anything :Sad not even an error. I got my son to double check. He commented on how well laid out the script was ("even Mum could do this")!!! Compliment indeed!
- pyLoad - installs fine and I can config it but doesn't autostart on reboot. No idea how to fix since Ubuntu changed startup process. I last used Linux on a Linkstation NAS!!!
- Samba - I didn't know what to do here. EDIT: Looked at scripts and this isn't what I expected/wanted. I want to READ my Windows shares and be able to set my SABnzbd etc to read those directories for downloads etc. I found this http://geeks.noeit.com/mount-an-smb-netw...pberry-pi/ which enables my Ubuntu VM to read the Windows host directories and write the downloads etc as needed.

And my previously working Plex install has now stopped responding to web interface. Would like to be able to fix that as well if poss.
It is there and I can run it manually with Start_PMS from usr/sbin

Yes you can use the manual setup (git clone the repo and then bash install.sh) on a minimal Ubuntu 15.x.
- SABnzbd - you have to enter the port number when it asks you during install, unfortunately I haven't figured out how to have it autofill 8080 in those dialog boxes
- Jackett - This is a bit because of laziness from me, mono arm packages are different to non-arm. I can add checkes but I assume users are using it with Sonarr. Are you sure SickRage supports torznab?
- Headphones - This is my fault and thank you for pointing out the bug, Headphones must be run first before the config.ini exists so I will script an autoterminate and it should work.
- Ubooquity - Ubooquity should have startup in the crontab (crontab -l to see). It is problematic to automate because of the initial manual setup. I may remove it.
- CherryMusic - Should be in crontab for startup. Like Ubooquity I may remove it as it requires the initial setup and it's hard to follow unless you read the manual guide.
- LEMP - I didn't script his part but I can fix it, would just installing php, mysql and nginx be sufficient?
- pyLoad - pyLoad should come with its own init.d script, I will check it tomorrow.
- Samba - I didn't script this part either but yes it is for creating shares and not mounting them.
Just to be clear, init.d scripts do still work on Ubuntu 15.x even though they changed to systemd.
For Plex see the post I made about monitoring the Plex service and autorestarting it as necessary.
Update: pyload is now fixed (needed update-rc.d pyload defaults). Headphones should work now too.

1. Thanks. I think I did the port number but MIGHT have entered my PC IP rather than the VM IP. Either way working now, thanks!!
2. https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett says "Jackett works as a proxy server: it translates queries from apps (Sonarr, SickRage, CouchPotato, Mylar, etc) " so probably should be able to install Mono etc in script.
3. Great. I am running but glad I can help contribute spotting a bug to help improve this great script!
4. Remove the crontab or Ubooquity? I would like to keep it. Would be fine if the script provided a draft startup script and said "edit your own" if needed?
5. Same again. Why do these two need crontab though?
6. LEMP or LAMP. All the same to me. I think nginx is supposed to be lighter (I'm running on a PC) so prob best for the Pi users.
7. Thanks. Waiting with baited breath
8. I'm sorted. I have it r/w on my Windows share so don't need this option
Thanks for the Plex link. Will be nice to have that fixed so will get on that right away.
Will test the Get_iPlayer and report back
