Hello all, total Linux newb just trying to follow directions here.
I have my RPi2 running a Plex Server, which it does perfectly. After that, I followed the guide to get the HDD to spin down, and that's where I'm having issues.
HDparm did not work, so I moved on to hd-idle. The drive seems to spin down appropriately, but afterwards it won't seem to spin back up. When I navigate to my server through the Plex interface, I can see all my movies and shows listed (I believe PMS caches all this separately from the actually files...likely on my SD card) but they are all tagged as "unavailable" when I click into them. On a Windows computer, if I try to access the drive is also tells me it is unavailable. If I SSH into the Pi and do "sudo mount -a", the drive comes back for me [sometimes]. Other times (most times, really), I have to reboot completely to get it back. I THINK it has to do with how much time has passed since the drive spun down. On the occasions where I try to remount the drive but it doesn't work, I get this message:
ntfs-3g: Failed to access volume 'UUID="E6763B2B763AFC3D"': No such file or directory
ntfs-3g 2012.1.15AR.5 external FUSE 29 - Third Generation NTFS Driver
Configuration type 7, XATTRS are on, POSIX ACLS are on

Usage: ntfs-3g [-o option[,...]] <device|image_file> <mount_point>
Options: ro (read-only mount), remove_hiberfile, uid=, gid=,
umask=, fmask=, dmask=, streams_interface=.
Please see the details in the manual (type: man ntfs-3g).
Example: ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /mnt/windows

Any ideas? The thing that sucks about this is that it only really becomes an issue after an indiscriminate amount of time passes, which makes it very frustrating and slow to troubleshoot. It's especially aggravating because if I'm not home and want to watch a movie, that exactly when I can't access it because I can't reboot it remotely.
Thanks in advance for any answers!
