Hello everyone,
I'm trying to setup a server using the JMB 321 port multiplier but also want to have it boot from an SSD.
I've been able to get both working, but not together.
Using the Jessie with Kernel 4.2.6 with SATA PMP support image I can get it to boot from SATA drive pretty easily, I just run the nand-sata-install script and it mounts the drive properly. But I can not get it to show any other drive connected to the port multiplier.
I tried appending "options ahci-sunxi enable_pmp=1" to /etc/modprobe.d/ahci-sunxi.conf but still nothing but sda shows up.
The opposite happens with Jessie with Kernel 4.1.6 – with SATA PMP support. I cannot get it to boot from sata but will show all the drives correctly if I append "options ahci-sunxi enable_pmp=1" to /etc/modprobe.d/ahci-sunxi.conf and reboot.
I've tried following the instructions in this post: https://forum.htpcguides.com/Thread-Prob...oot-to-hdd but it always ends up going to a blank screen(not booting/can't find kernel I'm guessing) after rebooting, same thing if I run the nand-sata-install script.
I guess my first question is, can you boot from HDD/SSD using the port multiplier?
and if so, any pointers how I could accomplish this?
Thanks for the help.
