Hello,
I logged into Plex today and there looks to be a new update.
I tried: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y
but it didn't update plex. How do I update Plex, hopefully without losing my meta data?
Thank you.

uglymagoo updates his repository with the new version of Plex when he has time and that is not always immediately. It may take a few days.

Looks like uglymoo updated his repository.
I decided I wanted to use a spare SD card to test out the new jessie image instead of wheezy (with jessie repositories)
Now, I'm not sure if this is related to the version of Plex or the new jessie image.. but I can't get my media library to download meta data properly. Initially it will load up some movies... about 3minutes goes by and then it starts loading up the rest of my movies (have over 1000.) I know this takes time but no matter how long I wait it won't download the posters. All it's doing is loading the movie title and year. I tested this a couple times (deleting library) and it appears to work partially (downloading the images) but then it doesn't finish the rest. I was hoping for a miniban image since I don't need a lot of the extra loaded programs on there anyways but I'll have to use whats available I guess. I have my original SD card with wheezy and it works fine and downloads meta data fine.
Any idea what could be happening here? Have you played around with the new jessie image? any plans to update the guide for this?
Thanks.

I think the issue is newer versions of Plex. I had the same problem on a Windows version of Plex, rearranging the Agents fixed the issue for me. Under Freebase for Movies I made the movie database top and freebase right underneath it. Then do a force refresh.
The plex guide works for wheezy and jessie, now people are only using the jessie repo and libc6 2.19 or newer so the base of the results should be the same.
Are you sure you have enough space on your sd card for all of those movies?

Thanks for the reply, I have a 16GB sd card so I should be good for now.. my other SD card still has quite a bit of space on it. I only use this for Plex.
I tried to move The movie database to the top and freebase underneath and started my library from scratch. It's still not downloading meta data. If I check activity it says it is getting metadata but only loads a movie scene thumbnail and it's being extremely slow. Like 5 minutes per movie.

How long does the Minibian Jessie take to boot? It takes about 30 seconds for me, can you test it on your end?
The reason it is taking so long is probably because it is examining all the videos. Try a force library refresh if it still messes up, try adjusting the agents again and doing force library refresh.
If it is TV make tvdb the highest priority agent.
