I used a RaspPi B with RaspBMC, sickrage, couch potato and transmission, a Buffalo LS210 NAS and PIA for about a year. Aside from the NAS, it all ran on a single RaspPi B. None of my TVs are 'smart'
My girlfriend subscribed to cable and I held my nose and went with cable for a while. It is driving me crzy to see her cable bill so I want to set this up again but now for multiple TVs
I see that RaspBMC has become Kodi and then OSMC now. I've seen some negative comments on sickrage.
So I am wondering, if you were starting FRESH, what would you build?
I am open to adding one or more Raspberry Pi 2.
Seems like I need:
a front-end for each of the TVs (to make them smart)
a downloader (torrents? or usenet?)
a media server to host the files for multiple TVs (can the NAS be modified for this?)
something to host couchpotato / sickrage-type apps to capture my needs and to then go find it and hand off to the downloader. I'd like for any browser on my network to be able to add selections
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
